LEATHER MAINTENANCE AND CARE

There is just a few things as luxury as the appearance, smell and feeling of an artisan piece, handmade and covered with leather. An appropriate care will help to keep its beauty and will prolong its life.

Luxury leather products: how to keep them as new

In this section we are offering some advices to extend the life of any leather product:

- Use a chamois or cotton cloth to wipe the dust from your items

- To hydrate, nourish or polish your items, use a colorless cream, special for leather care

- Don't put any stickers or objects containing glue, since the leather could be damaged

SOME ADVICES TO CLEAN OUR LEATHER ITEMS IN SPECIFIC CASES

- USUAL STAINS:

Stains caused by beer, wine, coffee or any other type of domestic accidents must be cleaned immediately, using a sponge or chamois cloth with mild water mixed with a very small quantity of neutral soap, and then drying the moisten area with a dry cloth.

- WATER STAINS:

In case of being superficial, it can be removed with a dry cloth.

If the water goes into the leather, place some absorbent paper and wait it to dry without scrubbing.

- GREASE, OIL OR BUTTER STAINS:

To remove the excess of butter, oil or grease from the leather, use a clean and dry cloth. The remaining stain will vanish in a short period of time. Don't apply water to try to clean this type of stains, as the only thing it will do is spread the stain.

- INK STAINS:

First, try to remove the stain with a soft rubber. The friction between the rubber and the leather usually removes the stain. If this doesn't work there is a special eraser that removes them.

As the last option, use a cream of the same color than the leather.

SCRATCHES:

Scratches, creases or marks are the most difficult ones to remove. For these, use a colorless cream that can eliminate them if they are superficial. If these are deep, hide it using a cream of the same color than the item.
